Media Depot

From customer service to creative collaboration, the Media Depot has allowed me to foster many of my skills in multimedia.

During my sophomore year, I was hired to become a multimedia consultant at the University of Kentucky’s Media Depot. The main purpose of the Media Depot is to assist students with various multimedia projects, including photo and video editing, graphic design, podcasts, practicing presentations, and so forth.

Beyond customer service experience, working at the Media Depot has provided me a network of some of UK’s most creative students. My coworkers have allowed me to learn much more about photography and videography than I previously knew, and every project that I have been involved with has taught me more about these fields. The Media Depot also provided opportunities to collaborate with Formula Kentucky and the UK Solar Car Team - together, we have been able to create content, develop a host of footage, and even host workshops to train other members on the teams in multimedia.

Overall, the Media Depot has been a great location for me to be able to connect my technical work with creative individuals and expand my own abilities in multimedia. For some specific examples of projects that the Media Depot helped me create, please click here to visit my Multimedia page.
